Alignment decays. It is not a project you finish, and the drift is slow enough that nobody notices until it is a year old again.
Three things keep it from happening.
One source, one owner. The narrative document lives in one place and one person owns changes to it. When the narrative changes, that person updates the document first and the assets second. Assets never change without the document changing.
A check before anything ships. Any new asset gets read against the narrative document before it goes out. Not a committee. One person, five minutes, one question: does this match?
A quarterly read-through. Once a quarter, read the homepage, the deck, and the one-pager back to back in one sitting. Drift is obvious when the three are adjacent and invisible when they are months apart in your memory.
That last one takes twenty minutes and catches almost everything.
Where to start
Do the audit this week. Homepage, deck, one-pager, side by side, four questions each. You will find the gap in under an hour and it will probably not be where you expected.
If the audit reveals that the four answers were never decided rather than merely inconsistent, that is the real work. The Growth Navigator makes those decisions with you and then builds the assets from them, in the right order. Seven days free with full access.
If you want people in the room for it, the Launch Pad Sprint builds the narrative and the full go-to-market system on top of it over three months.
